From Someone Who Truly Understands

If you or someone you love is suffering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) or Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), I want you to know this: you are not alone—not in your fear, your frustration, or your pain. I know what it is like, not from a textbook or training, but from living it.

I’ve Been Where You Are

I am not a doctor or medically licensed professional. I am a life coach and, more importantly, I am a fellow GBS survivor.

I was once completely paralyzed—from my eyes down to my toes. I was intubated and placed on a ventilator, unable to move or speak. I endured terrifying nightmares for years that made restful sleep impossible and recovery even harder.

Through a combination of strength, support, and sheer will, I was able to come off the respirator and regain body sensation in record time. I’ve now been fully free of the physical pain and those nightmares for over 40 years, and I’ve dedicated myself to helping others—both sufferers and caregivers—find healing, hope, and peace.

How I Can Help GBS & CIDP Sufferers

These conditions bring more than physical symptoms—they bring dark experiences, fear, isolation, and emotional pain that linger even as the body heals.

As a life coach, I provide gentle, understanding support to help you:

  • Process the dark experiences of paralysis and illness

  • Reduce anxiety, fear, and depression

  • Find peace with your body, even amidst ongoing symptoms

  • Rebuild confidence, self-trust, and a sense of purpose

  • Experience calm, joy, and meaning again

  • Even physical pain reduction can be possible

I use supportive tools like NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Wholeness Work, and Core Transformation and more (please see the “Services” page to learn specifically how these tools can help you) —all designed to help you gently ease pain, stress, and emotional burden in a way that’s safe, respectful, and empowering.

Caring for someone with GBS or CIDP is a labor of love—but it can also be emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting. As a caregiver, your well-being often gets pushed aside, yet your suffering deeply affects not only you, but your loved one who is ill, and your other loved ones, who often suffer when you suffer.

It’s vital—not only for the person you’re caring for—but also for you and everyone who loves you, that you feel supported, balanced, and strong.

I help caregivers:

  • Manage stress, overwhelm, and exhaustion

  • Process feelings of guilt, helplessness, or fear

  • Practice self-care—without guilt

  • Regain emotional balance and resilience

  • Feel supported, seen, and heard

When caregivers are supported, everyone benefits—including the person you’re caring for, and your other loved ones who will not have to suffer with you. You don’t have to carry this burden alone.
